Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion (2500 characters max, typically 350 words)

Conf Objectives (select 3):
Apply strategies to empower and improve communication with patients, their caregivers and families across the continuum of care.

Integrate psychosocial, cultural and spiritual approaches as they pertain to the care of older adults and those patients with advanced illness.

Assess and manage pain and non-pain symptoms.

Employ policy and system approaches that improve quality, performance, and efficiency in the care of older adults including those at the end of life.

Manage the care gaps, challenges related to caring for geriatric patients, and those with advanced illness across the venues of care.

Demonstrate current evidence-based geriatric and palliative medicine research and practices (e.g., physiology of and new treatments for dementia).

Identify major geriatric syndromes and effectively manage these syndromes.
